ost pragmatic goal-set-
ters commit to their New
Year's resolutions some-
time between their third
and seventh libation on December 31st,
and some of those folks accomplish that
feat before noon.
But as we all know, most golfers
aren't normal people. We are driven by
a different set of standards, most of
which center around how smooth the
greens are rolling, how high our ap-
proach shots fly, or how long and
straight our drives traverse the fairways.
With that being said, the staff at
Monarch Beach Golf Links commits to
its New Year's resolutions about the
same time we start to see and hear the
run-up ads for the Masters start to play
on ESPN and CBS. When that sweet
theme song for Augusta National starts
to play our flowers begin to bloom,
Monarch's Bermuda grass fairways start
to green up, and our golf course be-
comes a magical place to apply every-
one's "golf specific" New Year's
resolutions.
This is when our valued guests show
off their new can't-miss golf equipment,
fantastic apparel purchases from our
award-winning Golf & Lifestyle Retail
Store, a new golf swing supported by
one of our PGA Golf Instructors, and
come out and try some of the new de-
lectables from our equally pleasing
Monarch Café.
Around this same time, Monarch's
fantastic staff commits to improving the
quality of service and amenities we pro-
vides to our valued guests, Cardholders
and members.
Our goals for 2020 are actually quite
simple: Continue to improve the quality
of our offerings, create memorable ex-
periences, and provide value for every-
one's time and financial resources.
We are also very excited about our
new relationship with Troon, the new
parent company of OB Sports, our golf
management company. Simply put, as
you strive to improve your handicap and
play more golf at Monarch, we're going
to make sure you make the right choice
of where you do those things.
I would like to thank each and every
one of you, along with our valued staff,
for this opportunity to serve and pro-
vide authentic hospitality. Have a great
2020 golf season and by the time Tiger
roars at Augusta, I hope all of our New
Year's resolutions have come to fruition!
