hether it's a social or
golf event – or a com-
bination of the two –
you can always count
on Monarch Beach Golf Links to put
together fun and unique experi-
ences for members and guests.
The course plays host to special
occasions throughout the year that
include everything from golf tourna-
ments and clinics to wine and
whiskey tastings.
"Holding events like these really
give our members ways to get the
most out of the golf course, meet
new people, create a great commu-
nity here and really make it fun,"
said Lyon Lazare, the Director of
Sales at Monarch Beach Golf Links.
Here's a look at some of the top
events the course has to offer:
>> Monarch Beach
Golf Links Pro-Am
Monarch Beach will host a pro-
am tournament July 29, in which
each foursome will be paired with
a PGA professional from Monarch
Beach's golf staff and participants
will enjoy top-shelf wines, whiskeys
and cigars throughout their round.
Wine samples will include selec-
tions from Prisoner, Robert Mondavi
and Ruffino, among others, while
whiskey samples will be available
from High West, Casa Noble and
Belle Meade. The event includes a
nine-hole shotgun start, followed by
a post-round reception with more
tastings, light appetizers and an
acoustic duo for entertainment.
>> Wedges, Wine and Whiskey
The next Wedges, Wine and
Whiskey clinic, which combines on-
course tips focusing on various
shots around the green with tast-
ings along the way, will take place
on Friday, August 20.
It's a great way to work on lower-
ing scores in a pressure-free, re-
laxed environment – and every
participant receives a new wedge.

>> Get Golf Ready
For golfers who are new to the
game or looking to polish their skills
for more confidence playing with
others, Monarch Beach's Get Golf
Ready clinics offer a great way to do
just that. The four-week clinics –
which will next take place in Sep-
tember – are offered at levels 1.0
(true beginners) and 2.0 (intermedi-
ates) with skills progressing from
putting to chipping, then full swing
and an on-course lesson.
