Monarch Café transforms
menu with new food, beverage
and alcoholic offerings
T
he award-winning Monarch Café
has cooked up a new menu that in-
cludes fresh additions, more signa-
ture hot dogs, and barbecue and
smoker fare that will have golfers and
guests savoring the on-course fare.
Those who enjoy having a hot dog
at the turn will be impressed by the
Café's significantly beefed up selec-
tion, with a different signature frank
available every day.
"We were getting rave reviews
about our Signature Cali Dog so we
added more," said Director of Food and Bev-
erage Katy Gorelick. "My favorite is the
Cubano Dog that comes with sliced ham,
shredded pork, mustard and pickles."
Other new additions to the menu include
a Quinoa Energy Bowl with avocado, cucum-
bers, tomatoes, a choice of protein and a
lemon vinaigrette, and a Grilled Portobello
Mushroom Sandwich that is served on a
Brioche Bun with a green chile aioli sauce.
Barbecue lovers who like their food hot
off the grill or tenderized in a smoker will
enjoy the Signature Smoked Tri-Tip Sand-
wich, the Smoked Pulled Pork, or the
Smoked Pork Belly BLT. There's also the
tantalizing OC Burger, which can be ordered
with a beef, chicken or veggie patty.
In addition, salads, sandwiches and
wraps are available, such as the BBQ Ranch
Chicken Wrap, the Spicy Monarch (which
features honey ham, smoked turkey, bacon
and a Siracha aioli), and a Chef Salad.
Another highlight on the menu is the 21-
and-over section, which features beverages
such as The Monarch Beach Cruiser, The
Butterfly Cosmo, The Birdie, and IPAs, hard
seltzers, lagers, and imported beers.
"The drinks are super fun and there's
something for everyone," Gorelick said. "We
even have homemade purees that we use
for our margaritas and the passionfruit one
is the best! We feature drinks that are sim-
ple, fun, sweet, tangy and refreshing."
