2 • Monarch BeachComber | Fall Edition WELCOME NOTE Eric Lohman, PGA General Manager .......................................................... T hese past two years have been a whirlwind for all of us. One constant is how much golf has been played as it is a perfectly good way to enjoy being outdoors, spending time with others, competing and getting some exercise. All golf courses have witnessed more demand than ever, and even though things have slowed down some, we are still witnessing greater than normal (pre-Covid) play. The question is what is in store for 2022 and how might the golf landscape change or adapt? Starting this fall as Monarch Beach Golf Links comes out of its seasonal maintenance (and moving into 2022), our focus will be on our core beliefs of improving the quality of our product and taking care of our valued patrons. Whether you are a Links Cardholder, Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club visitor, from the local commu- nity or playing in a special event, we want to make sure you feel appreciated and receive value for your time and money. We hope you make us part of your 2021 holiday plans, we greatly appreciate the patronage these past few years and look forward to your return and engagement.
