"The popularity of the membership is growing rapidly and it's
because of the savings it affords
our valued members."
The cost to join the Crown
Club is $149 prior to March 31,
2014. After that it increases to
$199. Membership is valid
through March 2015.
Prime time rates for nonmembers are $185 during the
week and $210 on the weekend.
Monarch Beach will add Royal and
Junior Crown Clubs in 2014
Members only pay $85 and
$109, respectively, so the card
pays for itself after two rounds.
Other benefits include a $35
replay special, complimentary
golf on your birthday, a $25 merchandise voucher (new in 2014),
and $10 off an SCGA handicap.
Another popular perk is the
club tournaments held every
other month. Throughout the
year, players accrue points during the tournaments and the
year-end top point earners represent Monarch Beach at the OB
Sports Team Championship traditionally held in the PhoenixScottsdale area, a title which
Monarch Beach Golf Links currently defends.
"Once our regular members
started seeing a couple hundred
dollar savings during normal
rounds of golf, they started
spreading the word, and now
our membership far outnumbers that of last year," Sperazza
adds. "Our club golf tournaments have given our golfers
the chance to play competitively
for a chance at going to Arizona
to defend our OB Team Championship."
