Now it's where guests can host an outing or special event. Traditional banquets and team-building exercises have given way to endless options for private parties and corporate and char- ity event planners alike. "Since OB Sports took over in May 2012, part of the plan was to create more options for our guests," says Junior Sperazza, Director of Sales & Marketing. "That's when the 'out-of-the- box' thinking arose." The No. 1 tee box is the most-requested locale. It's adjacent to the clubhouse and the cart staging area, making it convenient for those just finishing their round. Also popular is the No. 10 tee box. "There is a bit more privacy with trees separating the putting green and cart area and the playing grounds," Sperazza says. A bit further out and offering even more privacy is the sixth tee, located behind the Monarch Café. "There's a lot of ground for vendors and table set up," Sperazza says. Food and beverage options are limitless. Hosts can choose a sit-down affair or buffet, or scale back with cocktails and appetizers. Each event is customized and price re- flects the a la cart approach, which means greater flexibility when it comes to budget. Timing is also open. While most book their activity before sundown, events can last into the evening, with the cost of lighting added to the tab. THE GREAT OUTDOORS With its ocean views, the third hole is an ideal spot to stage a banquet. click for details on the BeachcoMBer teaM Building package
