A TEE
TIME
MONARCH FOR THE DAY A HIT WITH GUESTS
H
ow would you like to be Monarch for the Day? All you have to
do is show up to tee it up. It's that simple.
Two to three times a week, the staff at Monarch Beach Golf Links
randomly selects a member of the Crown Club or Royal Crown Club
– Monarch Beach's annual membership programs – or a VIP Guest
for this fun distinction.
Winners are treated to a complimentary round of golf, a sleeve of
balls, lunch, and discounts in the Golf & Lifestyle Retail Store.
"The response we generally get is pure joy and amazement as
someone has been selected to be recognized and thanked for being
such a great customer," says PGA General Manager Eric Lohman.
"Most people even ask for the flier with their name on it and some
even get it autographed by the staff."
GOLF BUTLERS ARE AT YOUR SERVICE
M
onarch Beach has made a name change to its Golf
Ambassador Program — its forecaddies will now be
referred to as Golf Butlers.
While the name has changed, the service remains the
same. Golf Butlers assist golfers, groups and tournaments
with yardages, reading greens, raking bunkers and en-
hancing the guest's experience on the course.
"Many players assume that they must take a cart at
Monarch Beach, but that is not the case," says Director of
Sales Junior Sperazza. "Walking is encouraged and the
Golf Butler can create a terrific experience."
GOLFERS ARE QUICK TO EMBRACE PACE OF PLAY PROGRAM
T
he 5 Hour or Less Pace of Play Guarantee is picking up momentum at Monarch
Beach Golf Links – and players are noticing the results.
"We've been receiving great feedback," says Director of Sales Junior Sperazza.
"From the moment someone makes a tee time at Monarch Beach they are made
aware of our Pace of Play initiative, and they are embracing it."
The result is a more pleasant round for guests who know they will finish in a rea-
sonable amount of time.
"It makes golfers more comfortable coming here for a day on the links," Sperazza
says, "because they know that the pace of play will be steady and efficient, which
will lead to a more enjoyable experience."
