W
hen you play Monarch Beach
Golf Links, it's imperative
that you pause along the
way to enjoy the ocean views.
And if you're hungry, you'll certainly
want to make another stop on the
course – at the Monarch Café.
Located next to the first tee, as well as
the nearby fifth and ninth greens, the
Café is easily accessible and features a
host of new offerings for golfers and
guests to enjoy that include everything
from meats smoked on a Traeger Grill to
tasty yet refined golf course fare. In ad-
dition, the Café offers chef's specials,
specialty cocktails, a Craft Beer of the
Month and beach house hospitality.
One of the more unique aspects of the
Café is the adjacent Event Lawn. Ideal
for groups between 20-300 people, the
space provides a perfect setting for so-
cial functions, including golf outings,
meetings, breakfasts, luncheons, din-
ners and cocktail parties.
In addition, Monarch Beach Golf
Links can customize events to specific
needs, whether the function is held
under a tent or al fresco. Lighting,
heaters, umbrellas and other necessities
are also available as is fare from the re-
sort, an approved caterer or food truck.
"There are so many benefits to hav-
ing a function on our Event Lawn," said
Food & Beverage Director/Catering
Manager Katy Gorelick. "The view,
service, value, location, ambiance and
great 'Chilluxe' hospitality from our en-
gaged staff are at the top of the list."
Golfers and guests also can take
comfort in the fact that every team
member working in the Café or on one
of the refreshment vehicles is a trained
bartender skilled in making specialty
cocktails. Cheers to that!
