5 • Monarch BeachComber | Summer Edition READY TO RIDE CreamCycle delivers cool, refreshing treats J ust in time for summer, Monarch Beach Golf links is unveiling its all-new CreamCycle. The CreamCycle is a tricycle that features a Monarch Beach- logoed ice box on the front, and on hot summer days golfers can order chilly treats whenever it comes riding by. Offerings include assorted ice cream, frozen cocktails and jello shooters. "It makes us unique," said Di- rector of Food and Beverage Katy Gorelick. "We wanted to bring golfers an experience that they can't get at any other course. Plus, it gets hot in the summer and who doesn't love ice cream?" Along with hot summer days, the CreamCycle will be utilized for special events, when the course is busy, and on holidays. WHAT'S NEW T he next time you play at Monarch Beach Golf Links, make sure you drop in on the Drop Zone. When tee times start on the back nine, the Drop Zone comes into play and provides patrons with hot food and bev- erage options before they reach the front nine and Monarch Café. Those days usually fall on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday during summer. Located adjacent to the green on the 15th hole, the mo- bile cafe offers beer, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, hot dogs, brats, jalapeño cheddar sausages, breakfast burri- tos, and daily specials. In addition, Monarch Beach has part- nered with Chopin Vodka and Owens Mixers to offer golfers cocktails such as The Chopin Mule, the Monarch Transfusion, and the course's Signature Bloody Mary. "The Drop Zone is the place to visit when on the back nine," said Katy Gorelick, Director of Food & Beverage at Monarch Beach Golf Links.
